Decorate Book Launch. Press Party.

This is the fab book that I had the pleasure of enjoying meeting the author, Holly Becker of on Wednesday evening.

The venue: Liberty of London. Enough said.

We met in the Heritage Suite (GORGEOUS!) in Liberty’s. We sat and waited patiently for her arrival. Smiley and relaxed she was. Star struck I was.

The book is actually co-written with Joanna Copestick who sat at the back of the audience avoiding the limelight. We aren’t all made for the limelight.

Holly kept the whole talk relaxed just like we were in her front room all having a chat. Perfect!

The book has been created with a huge array of different ideas to help you and your style. Not convince you of being something else but to develop your own tastes. The book aims to be approachable, teaching but also giving you content you can use in every day life.

I think anyone with anything from an interest in decorating, or someone who has just bought a new house and will soon be picking up the paintbrush through to real design enthusiasts will LOVE this book. It’s hard to believe that the book took a mere six to eight months to create. You can really see how much work has been collated.

Holly always refers to how great Joanna was to work with and also jokingly mentioned that if she went on to write another book that she would always want to work with a co-author. Hehe… this amazing woman is normal then

Holly’s style and passion is so evident in her blog. In this book. And in real life you realise how real all of it is, she is a real person with a real talent and is a really nice lady.

I look forward to following the rest of her career. I am a huge fan!

I know I have some lovely regulars now so I´m looking forward to seeing you and some new peeps.

We shall be selling from 10am – 3pm and the venue is Shire Hall, Chelmsford. The beautiful building at the top of the high street.

I hope you like these curtians as much as I do. I am so pleased with the result.

A lovely end product for a lovely client.

The aim was to bring the outside in – my client is a florist, so this is something important to her.

The curtains are double sided, being able to see the pattern from the outside too. They are lined with black out fabric and are amazing quality, being handmade gives them a truly original touch. The tiebacks are 100% silk – truly luxurious.
