Lucy Loves Fabric is launched! I can not express how excited I am to tell you that we are now open and ready for business! I hope you enjoy browsing our pages and find inspiration in the ideas that we share with you. It won’t all just be about fabrics, buttons and trimmings. It will also be about design and creativity. Lucy Loves Fabric aims to inspire you; to encourage you to live a full and creative life. Not restricted by boundaries or rules.
Here at Lucy Loves Fabric we love to imagine the history behind our pieces. And we love to bring that history into our homes (even modern homes!) and lives. We love to restore; dream of the story the each item could tell; cherish that item and give it a new lease of life and a new home. This may be a Lloyd Loom laundry basket with a padded seat and a gorgeous but worn fabric top. It may be your Nan’s old blanket, every vibrant square lovingly crocheted by hand. An old photo in an old frame which hangs on your white wall and encourages people to ask ‘Who’s that?’. And away you go with your explanation of their story and how dear that person is to you. Or your Mums curtains from your childhood home that you give new life to as cushions on your sofa, allowing you to curl up with your memories once more. Here at Lucy Loves Fabric possibilities and creativity are endless.
Fabrics, design and art are very fashionable right now. For many people these things have always been a big part of their lives. But we want to encourage even more people to be creative and to enjoy design; to be brave and experimental; to enrich their homes with their own style. Dress with an individual edge.
We hope to keep you up to date with what today’s media are reporting, to introduce new designers and to let you know of events that may interest you. And if you know of any new designers, artists, writers (anyone or anything you think we would enjoy!) please do let us know.
